PHOENIX METRO– The Phoenix Mercury today introduced two-time WNBA Champion and three-time WNBA All-Star Kristi Toliver as associate head train. Toliver, the initial energetic player in WNBA history to have served as an assistant train in the NBA, brings greater than a decade of having fun and training experience to the Mercury. Toliver joins the Mercury bench after 14 periods in the WNBA with the Washington Mystics, Los Angeles Sparks and Chicago Sky, and four periods in the NBA as an assistant train with the Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards. A three-time All-Star and two-time WNBA champ, Toliver averaged 11.8 factors and 3.4 aids over her 14-year WNBA job and presently ranks 7th all-time in three-point area goals made. She progressed to the playoffs in 9 of her 14 periods Mercury Basketball Jersey, showing up in three WNBA Finals and 5 semifinals. Last season she played 11 games with the Washington Mystics, experiencing a season-ending split ACL in enhancement to playing in the WNBA, Toliver offered four seasons as an NBA aide train. In 2018, she became the initial energetic WNBA player in background to act as an NBA aide trainer, spending 2 seasons with the Washington Wizards under head coach Scott Brooks. Most lately she spent two periods as an NBA aide instructor with the Dallas Mavericks on NBA Hall-of-Famer Jason Kidd’s coaching team, helping lead the team to a Western Conference Finals appearance in 2022. A standout at the College of Maryland, Toliver helped lead the Terrapins to their first and only NCAA champion in program background in 2006.
