Based on the assessment of the patient needs and disability, the most appropriate wheelchair with the correct size and fit can be determined. When the wheelchair is received depends on availability of the appropriate wheelchair and when the assessment was completed. Waiting longer for the wheelchair that best fits the individual is more important than simply providing a wheelchair that is available but not appropriate.
